Girls' RAP

Girls' RAP (Resolution and Prevention) is a gender-specific diversion program for girls who are involved or at risk of becoming involved in the juvenile justice system. The goal of Girls' RAP is to divert participants from self-destructive lifestyles and assist them in developing skills for growth and success that will prevent repeat offenses and promote their social, educational, and physical well being. The program has a strong track record of success: over 80% of program participants stay out of the juvenile justice system after they leave the program. RAP also operates a 26-week school-based prevention component for girls focused on truancy reduction, prevention and conflict resolution.

Participants are typically referred to Girls’ RAP through the juvenile justice system or school officials. For more information, contact 612-215-4361.
