Helping Kids be Fabulous

Every kid needs a place to belong. Girls & Youth programs focus on the strengths of young people and challenge them to expect and create great things in their lives. Youth ages 7-19 can explore new worlds, discover their full potential and develop toward healthy adulthood in six innovative programs.

Girls Inc.® at the YWCA of Minneapolis

The YWCA of Minneapolis is an affiliate of Girls Inc.®, offering girl-specific programming with a focus on leadership, math and science, economic literacy, and pregnancy prevention. Girls Inc.® at the YWCA of Minneapolis programming takes place in the Minneapolis Public Schools and at YWCA locations.

Girls Inc.® is a nonprofit organization that inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. With local roots dating to 1864 and national status since 1945, Girls Inc.® has responded to the changing needs of girls and their communities through research based programs and advocacy that empower girls to reach their full potential and understand, value, and assert their rights.
