Circle of Women Sponsorship

We invite you to Sponsor the YWCA of Minneapolis 12th Annual Circle of Women fundraiser luncheon. Partner with us to empower women and girls and eliminate racism in profound ways.

The Circle of Women: Purses & Passion luncheon on May 1, 2008 is the YWCA's largest fundraising event. In 2007, over 1,100 women and men witnessed our programs' impact on the lives of children and adults in our urban community. Annually, we touch over 25,000 community members in small and extraordinary ways through our six program areas. We are proud to report that 85% of the $323,530 raised through the 2007 event went to directly support our program areas.

  • Health & Fitness
  • Women's Wellness
  • Public Policy
  • Racial Justice

In 2008 we will be sharing the stories and results of our Girls & Youth programs that impact over 1,400 urban girls and boys annually. These programs are active in the community throughout the year, bringing out the best in girls and boys from low-income households in Minneapolis by promoting academic success, positive decision-making, leadership skills, and community involvement.

  • In 2007, 43 corporate sponsors donated $160,000 in cash and over $40,000 in in-kind contributions.
  • Sponsors indicated that they were pleased with the level and type of recognition received at the event

Circle of Women Attendees

Based on 2007 Event Evaluations:

  • 1, 100+ individuals attended the event.
  • Approximately 90% of attendees are women
  • 47% have a household income greater than $100,000
  • 16% have a household income greater than $200,000
  • 41% are between the ages of 46 and 64
  • 41% are between the ages of 30 and 45
  • 56% identify themselves as business professionals
  • 97% of attendees who provided an evaluation rated themselves as very satisfied or satisfied with the event
  • 85% of those who completed an evaluation plan to be back in 2008
