Water Fitness

Water Fitness is a safe and effective way to exercise for all ages and abilities. We provide excellent aquatic facilities, instructors and a range of classes to meet any need. Enjoy many benefits such as weight loss, muscle toning, increased flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, stability and community. Water Fitness classes are free to members (and are not open to non-members).

Class Descriptions

55+ Aqua
45 mins

This class provides a low impact workout of varying intensity which allows you to choose your own intensity! The class is conducted entirely in the shallow end of the pool; flotation devices are used during the class.
Aqua Abs
30 mins

This class focuses on toning and strengthening body core muscles. Otherwise known as the abdominals! Flotation devices are used during the class.
Aqua Cycle
55 mins

Using the power of water, you can workout at a greater intensity and benefit from a faster recovery. Take advantage of the buoyancy in Aqua Cycle, it is great for joint support and protection. Great for everybody!
Aqua Deep
55 mins

A class held entirely in the deep end of the pool provides a very high intensity, no impact workout. Buoyancy belts are available for use, but a reasonable comfort level in deep water is needed for participation in this class.
Aqua Depth Combo

This class utilizes various types of equipment in both the shallow and deep end pool of the pool. The intensity of the overall workout is up to you. Participants can stay in the depth of water they feel most conformable; Your workout level with guidance from the instructor. No swimming ability necessary; Buoyancy belts available.
Aqua Power

This fast paced, low impact class is a high intensity workout. The class is conducted with the use of water resistance water dumbbells in both shallow and deep ends of the pool. Buoyancy belts are traditionally not used in this class. A reasonable comfort level in deep water is needed for participation in this class.
Aqua Shallow
55 mins

This class provides a medium to high intensity workout, remaining in the shallow end allows for low impact on joints. No swimming ability necessary and flotation devices can be used during this class. Class held entirely in the shallow end of the pool.
SilverSneakers® Splash
55 mins

High energy, low impact workout class, held in the shallow end of the pool. There is a strong cardio segment for approximately 25-35 minutes combined with strength training, using resistant equipment and stretching to improve flexibility.
