Indoors or Out - Great Running at the YWCA

Easy Access to the Great Outdoors!
The Twin Cities has fantastic running and has been ranked by Runners World magazine as high as second in the country for running. And the YWCA of Minneapolis' three sites taps some of the best running the Twin Cities has to offer. Midtown has easy access to the Greenway path leading to the Mississippi River Road trails or Uptown, Uptown is right on the Greenway and only a couple blocks from Lake of the Isles and Lake Calhoun, and Downtown quickly gets you out of the city through Loring Park to the Cedar Lake-Kenilworth trail.

Climate-Controlled Indoor Tracks
The Minneapolis Sports Center, adjacent to the Midtown YWCA, gives you the opportunity to run in a safe and climate-controlled environment. Choose from eight lanes of 200 meters. Free parking is available.

    Upper Track - For Walkers/Runners
    Open during building hours
MSC entrance is located on the second floor past Kids Fit Gym.

Lower Track - For Runners Only
    Monday - Friday: 5:45-8:00 am
    Sunday*: 7:30-8:30 am
*Some Sundays the lower track may be closed for rentals. Signage will be posted. MSC entrance is located on the main floor past the basketball gym.

And don't forget the track at the Uptown YWCA! It's another great place to run in a safe, climate controlled environment, and is open during building hours.
