Community Fitness Class Schedule

As of 2008, Women's Wellness Community Fitness Classes will be reduced to 3-6 classes a week and will only be held at community sites (not YWCA facilities).

The Community Fitness class schedule is still being planned. It will be posted online as of December 19, 2007. Note: Jumpstart Health Education classes are selected at the time of orientation; for your convenience they will be posted online when orientation starts in January.

What to Wear/Bring to Class

  • WATER! Start drinking water two hours before class starts to avoid dehydration.
  • Wear lose fitting clothes- Come ready to sweat.
  • Wear gym shoes with gripping sole!
  • Bring a towel or mats; the YWCA does not provide these items.
  • Bring your own swim wear, water shoes and swim towel.
  • A lock to store personal items. The YWCA lockers are day use only. Items cannot be stored overnight/weekly. Participants can purchase a long term locker at any YWCA membership desk.

Parking
Women's Wellness does not guarantee parking at any location.

  • The Downtown YWCA has limited parking for $.50/hour. Parking meters are free after 6:00 pm.
  • The Midtown YWCA and North Commons have limited spots with free parking
  • All other class sites offer free parking.

    Yoga & Pilates Classes
    Please note: Women's Wellness does not provide mats for yoga and pilates classes.

    Childcare
    Women's Wellness will no longer be offing childcare; however a benefit of membership is FREE babysitting and Fit Kid Gym services offered at each site. This service is subjected to availability and reservations maybe required. Please consult the babysitting/fit kids gym section of this website for more details on these policies.
