Women's Triathlon

The 2015 Fundraising Team raised $18,000 for YWCA of Minneapolis!

Every day of the year, we are hard at work engaging children and youth, adults and families through life changing programs. We reach more than 30,000 people in our community every year. And nearly 1,050 of those are the women and girls who crossed the finish line at this year's Women's Triathlon. The women pictured above are members of the Peer to Peer Fundraising Team. They did an amazing job, sharing their own triathlon journey with family and friends, and asking for support for the YWCA's powerful work.

The YWCA of Minneapolis Women's Triathlon is our most-popular athletic event of the year, featuring a 500-yard swim, a 15.5-mile bike segment and a 5-kilometer run, held at beautiful Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis. In 2015, a new SuperSprint option was added that includes a 200-yard swim, a 7.3-mile bike, and a 1-mile run/walk. Take a moment to read the accounts below, and learn first-hand, about the incredible experience of participating in the Women's Triathlon.
