Twin Cities Spring Birding
Prime Time Fitness Talk Series
Minnesota is the place to be for springtime birding. The Mississippi Flyway is the migration route followed by 40% of all waterfowl and shorebirds in North America. In addition, vast wildlife refuges, state forests, federal forests and parks protect the habitat and food sources birds depend on.
During the spring and fall, millions of birds, from tiny warblers to giant white pelicans, make their way north along the Mississippi River.
Join us for a 90-minute tutorial on how to enjoy the migration process. Learn to use the most common marks and indicators to identify birds, where and when you can expect to find migratory birds, what to watch for at your backyard feeders and how to attract more birds to your yard.
