YWCA Day on the Hill

Join all YWCAs in the State of Minnesota (Minneapolis, St. Paul, Duluth and Mankato) at the Minnesota State Capitol to uplift YWCA’s mission of eliminating racism, empowering women and girls, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.

Join us in the Capitol Rotunda to rally at 10:00 am, hear from leaders and legislators, and meet with policymakers to encourage forward movement and show appreciation for the leaps made so far.

Check-In: 9:30 – 9:55 am

Where: State Capitol Conference Room G20A (Ground Floor) – this will be the check-in space until 1:00 pm

Be sure to wear your persimmon YWCA gear or grab a volunteer shirt during check-in. All persimmon attire is welcome! Light snacks and beverages provided.

Rally at the Rotunda: 10:00 – 10:45 am

Hear from legislators and YWCA leaders from across our state.Celebrate YWCA’s mission of eliminating racism, empowering women and girls, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.

Legislator Meetings: 11:00 am – 2:00 pm

  • Meetings with representatives and senators who represent YWCA sites around the state to advocate for continued movement of mission-aligned legislation and say thank you for the strides made thus far!
  • Advocacy options available at check-in.
  • Lunch options available in Rathskellar Cafe, the dining hall in the basement level of the Capitol building.
