Masters Group Swimming
Although the name may be intimidating, Masters Swimming simply means group swimming for those 19 and older. All speeds and skills are represented on our Masters team, and more experienced swimmers always enjoy helping new swimmers get a feel for the workout and the group.
No competitive swimming experience is required, but some recreational swimming background is encouraged. Our Masters groups are comprised of a balance of former swimmers, triathletes in training, and recreational swimmers looking for a good workout. Note: If you are interested in more specialized triathlon training or Total Immersion Swimming® training, please see our Total Immersion Instruction page.
Members of the Masters team have the option of competing at several US Masters Swimming meets throughout the year. For more information, contact head coach Dave Cameron at 612-215-4224, or visit the US Masters Swimming site.
The YWCA Masters program is open and free to all members. Non-members can attend practices with one of the following Masters Program Passes:
- 4 Practice Pass: $30; valid for 30 days
- 10 Practice Pass: $95; valid for one year
Non-Members must provide a photo ID when checking in at the Front Desk. Please obtain a voucher at this time to attend practice and give the voucher to the coach on deck.
