On Tuesday, June 21, Peg + Cat, stars of the hit PBS KIDS Series, joined YWCA Minneapolis families at the Downtown Children’s Center for a meet-and-greet and reading of Peg + Cat: The Pizza Problem.

YWCA Minneapolis partnered with the Kids Can’t Wait Coalition to host a community screening of The Raising of America, a documentary exploring how early childhood experiences shape long‑term success. Following the film, local leaders, policymakers, and YWCA parents joined a panel discussion on the urgent need to invest in high‑quality early childhood education. The event underscored the critical role communities play in ensuring all children have the opportunity to thrive.
