Travel around the world this summer! YWCA Minneapolis summer camps are safe, fun and diverse learning experiences designed for many ages, skill sets and interests. Kids will explore art, music and science while celebrating cultures and traditions from Africa to the United Kingdom. Each child will create a photo journal to capture the memories of their favorite activities, foods and adventures from the summer. Each child will also be getting their very own passport that will be updated each week based on the country they “visit!”
We take health and safety very seriously and will continue to evaluate our protocols based on the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH).
We provide hands-on learning specific to the ages, needs and interests of our campers.
Children currently in grades K-5 (school year 2021 – 2022)
The one-time registration fee for each child is $80.

Group swim lessons offer an excellent opportunity for infants, toddlers, youth and adults alike to develop their skills, learn water safety and gain confidence in a supportive environment. In our selection of courses, you’ll find classes for those who are just beginning to swim as well as more advanced options for swimmers looking to refine their technique.
Dive into the Otters Swim Team! Youth ages 6 – 14 will build strength, speed and endurance while learning competitive swim techniques. We promote progression and goal setting at an individual level as well as sportsmanship and teamwork in a positive environment. The Otters Swim Team has a well-established scholarship and support program to expand access to all swimmers.

“My daughter is so excited to start her day, she ignores me from the minute she gets here in the morning. Our rides home in the afternoon are filled with stories about her friends, details of craft projects, long walks, swimming and descriptions of lunch (usually including the word delicious). This is a place where she feels safe and loved. I’m more grateful than I can say for the people who treat my daughter with such care, and for a place where she can spend such memorable summers.”
