Indoor Triathlons at YWCA Minneapolis are an excellent opportunity to stay focused during the cold Minnesota winters, engage with your community and make progress towards your personal fitness goals. Adults and youth (of all genders) age 14 and up are welcome to join, even those without past triathlon or racing experience.
If this is your first triathlon, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the positive and supportive atmosphere. Similar to YWCA Women’s Triathlon, our indoor events can help novices gain competence and confidence — while acting as a great addition to the training regimen of seasoned athletes. In either case, expect to enjoy a day of excitement, encouragement and connection with your fellow racers.

The Sprint Course consists of a 500-yard swim, ten-mile bike course and a two-mile run.
YWCA Midtown’s pool is a six-lane, 25-yard pool. Two triathletes will share a lane. Each lane will have a lap recorder/timer. Average water temperature is 80-82 degrees Fahrenheit.
You can adjust the bike for a comfortable fit. One side of the pedal is a standard platform with toe cages. The other side of the pedal is compatible with SPD-style bike cleat.
Run or walk on the track in the Minneapolis Sports Center — a regulation 200-meter indoor track.
