SilverSneakers Questions

Will YWCA Minneapolis Midtown accept SilverSneakers memberships in 2026?

YWCA Minneapolis will continue to partner with SilverSneakers, OnePass and Silver & Fit to provide fitness memberships to seniors. Regardless of the health insurance provider you may have, you will be eligible for a membership if you are eligible for a participating program.

How will I know if I am eligible for a participating program that will grant me a YWCA Minneapolis membership?

You can verify your eligibility with your health insurance company. We recommend calling the number on the back of your health insurance card and asking what programs you are eligible for. If eligible, please provide our membership team with the program ID number of the participating program. Once we verify the number is active, we can start your membership!

Silver Sneakers classes at the YWCA continue to be among our most well-attended. We will continue to offer these branded classes for all members.

If I am switching from one participating program to another, do I need to do anything with my membership? (Example: changing from a SilverSneakers membership to a OnePass membership)

Switching from one program to another should not limit your access to the facility. You do need to stop by our membership team to change your YWCA membership type to reflect the program you are eligible for. Be sure to bring the new program’s ID number (Silver Sneakers, OnePass, Silver & Fit).
