Together, we create meaningful change in Minnesota. YWCA Minneapolis has been building an inclusive community, furthering race and gender equity, empowering women and girls to be leaders, and improving health and wellness for over 125 years.
We have an ambitious mission and we can’t do it alone. Our work is fueled by the people who believe in our work and put their values into action. Each year, people like you give 4,900 volunteer hours to elevate our work and 1,100 donors champion our mission.

YWCA Minneapolis is committed to advancing change and eliminating racial inequities on every level, from interpersonal to systemic. Organizations and businesses trust our training and consulting programs to foster a culture of inclusion and equity within their workforces. Our advocacy work elevates concerns to the governmental level. And for the individual, we offer workshops and create spaces for open dialogue.
Every child deserves a high-quality education — and every parent deserves to know that their children are in good hands. We offer child care and early childhood education services from infant to school-age, which include an anti-bias curriculum, nutritious food and a safe, healthy environment in which kids can explore and grow. Our afterschool girls and youth programs encourage academic success and strengthen key communication skills for over 1,250 youth in the Twin Cities each year.
We’re passionate about health and wellness and believe that everyone should have the opportunity to feel strong and healthy. That’s why we operate state-of-the-art fitness facilities with multiple swimming pools and offer hundreds of group exercise classes. Our facilities are located in three Minneapolis locations — Downtown, Midtown and Uptown.
