General Counsel for Zinpro Corporation and Executive Director of Anderson Foundation

LaToya Jones Burrell, JD, MBA, is general counsel for Zinpro Corporation and executive director of Anderson Foundation. She also serves as Zinpro’s corporate secretary and leads Zinpro’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team and corporate giving program, Zinpro’s Rising T.I.D.E.S. for Change.

Prior to joining Zinpro, she was dean of graduate education and accreditation at North Central University in Minneapolis. While at North Central University, she taught business law and leadership courses, was a peer reviewer with the Higher Learning Commission Accrediting Body and worked to gain approval for additional master’s programs. She also coached an award-winning American Mock Trial Association team.

Before higher education, her practice areas included bankruptcy, multi-district litigation and mass torts. She also served as an academic counselor and adjunct professor at Southern University Law Center and Mitchell Hamline School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Minnesota and Louisiana.

She is the author of Be Bold: How to Prepare Your Heart and Mind for Racial Reconciliation, inspired and written after George Floyd was murdered a few miles away from her home.

She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Jack and Jill of America, Inc. She resides in Eden Prairie with her husband, Greg, and their two boys, Grayson and Garrison.
