Mask Update

Updated June 21, 2021

The health and safety of our members, families, visitors and employees have remained our top priority throughout the pandemic and we have consistently followed the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) guidance to ensure we’re doing all we can to keep our community safe.

Now that the CDC has issued new recommendations stating that fully vaccinated people do not need to wear masks, along with the lifting of the state of Minnesota and city of Minneapolis mask mandates, we are no longer requiring vaccinated people to wear masks in our fitness and administrative areas. However, following CDC guidance, we strongly recommend face masks for members, families, visitors and employees who are not fully vaccinated. Additionally, in compliance with current Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) guidelines, face coverings are still required for child care employees.

We are steadfastly committed to maintaining the safety and well-being of everyone visiting our facilities. In our fitness centers specifically, we will:

  • continue to maintain social distancing options for all to choose their level of comfort
  • continue our reservation system for group fitness and virtual classes, in addition to accommodating for walk-ins and in-class social distancing options
  • continue our increased safety and cleaning protocols, including access to self-cleaning stations with disinfectant spray and hand sanitizer
  • continue to use higher level air filters and a 40% fresh air exchange three times every hour

In our Early Childhood Education Centers, we will continue multiple measures to keep children safe, including:

  • modified check in and out procedures
  • daily temperature checks
  • symptom screening
  • requiring masks indoors for children 5 – 11 years old
  • reduced classroom sizes
  • modified activities
  • increased cleaning protocols

We encourage everyone to make informed decisions about getting vaccinated to protect themselves, their families and their community. Thank you for your cooperation.
