Fitness Center

Our renovated fitness center is the perfect place for adult, youth and family fitness. Come work up a sweat, whether you decide to hop on one of our ellipticals or treadmills, steam it up in the sauna or get competitive on the basketball court! New workout studios and locker rooms allow you to exercise your way, and then cool down in comfort.

Group Exercise Classes

Not one for solo workouts? No problem! Take one of our hundreds of group fitness classes to work it out alongside your fellow members. We offer accessible classes aimed at a range of exercise styles and skill levels. You can choose to burn off some calories at Cardio Dance, relax and renew with Restorative Yoga, add water resistance to your workout with Aqua Blast and much more. We provide a wide variety of free and pay classes, so you’re sure to find the one that’s right for you.

Swimming Pool

Our YWCA Downtown location boasts a five-lane, 25-meter lap pool — perfect for working on your strokes during the colder months of the year. Don’t know how to swim? We also offer swimming lessons — group and individual — for all ages, from infant to adult. More competitive swimmers can join our Otter Youth Swim Team or prepare for their next triathlon with swim training. You can also hone your lifesaving skills by taking one of our courses on lifeguarding and safety, or become Red Cross-certified in CPR or First Aid.

Massage Services

Our experienced massage therapists are happy to provide a range of body work and massage styles, such as Swedish massage, sports massage and deep tissue or trigger point massage. You can purchase a massage session at any of our locations or use our online appointment scheduling system to schedule a massage from anywhere!

Nutrition Counseling

Begin your path toward better health, higher energy and improved quality of life with one of our registered dietitians. Discuss nutrition goals, receive individualized nutrition information, build a custom plan to safely meet nutrition goals and learn to make choices that create long-term success.

You may know us for our state-of-the-art facilities and award-winning programs and workshops, but did you also know that YWCA Minneapolis is one of the largest nationally accredited nonprofit providers of early childhood education in the state of Minnesota? We offer programs for infants, toddlers and preschoolers that utilize an anti-bias curriculum to support development and empowerment.

Afterschool Youth Programs

We’re here to create young leaders and help them achieve academic success. Our high-quality afterschool and summer programs use culturally responsive, research-based curriculums to meet the needs of over 1,250 youth each year.
