Quyen Ngo

Executive Director, Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation

Dr. Quyen Ngo serves as executive director of the Butler Center for Research at the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, where she leads the organization's research and clinical data initiatives. She works to advance evidence-based practices, strengthen data-informed decision-making and integrate implementation science into program development and quality improvement.

Dr. Ngo earned dual doctoral degrees in clinical psychology and women's studies from the University of Michigan and completed advanced National Institutes of Health training in addiction to science, mobile health technologies and health equity research. Prior to joining Hazelden Betty Ford in 2020, she held a faculty appointment in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School.

Her research focuses on trauma, violence, substance use and behavioral health technologies. She has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications and has led federally funded research supported by the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

As a licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Ngo is committed to translating research into meaningful care and improved health outcomes.
