Amy Dragland-Johnson currently serves as the vice president of advisor marketing at Thrivent. In this role, Amy leads marketing strategies and tactics that enable Thrivent Advisor revenue and client growth. Previously, she served as chief marketing officer and senior vice president for Family Dollar/Dollar Tree, where she was responsible for all marketing disciplines including eCommerce, digital, advertising, signage and shopper marketing.
Ms. Dragland-Johnson has also worked for Triad (a WPP Agency) as senior vice president of client relations. In this role, she served as the general manager for Walmart. Ms. Dragland-Johnson has also been responsible for the strategic leadership of SC Johnson’s North America Shopper Marketing and Integrated Marketing functions, across all North American Retailers. She oversaw “best of class” shopper marketing strategic programming and has led award-winning sales and marketing teams — fostering the development of a common marketing vision for multiple retailers and consumer audiences.
Ms. Dragland-Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in organizational management and communication studies from Gustavus Adolphus College and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas. She currently resides in St. Louis Park, Minn. with her husband, Bo, and their two Maine Coon cats, Kimchi and Marco. Her interests include traveling, reading and going to concerts.
